Windsorite, and former President of the Progressive Conservative Party, Bruck Easton, has bailed out of the new party and backed a local Liberal. In fact, he's backing a former opponent from his days as a PC candidate, Liberal Rick Limoges.
I only mention this because it seems like a rather big deal, especially since Easton made his announcement while Harper was in town.
I also mention it because the Windsor Star has a fairly interesting photo. Easton isn't doing this in a small way -- he's photoed with his new Liberal friend, hammering a Limoges sign into the ground.
His reason for quitting is only partly the predictable concerns about the social conservatism of the new party. He also feels that it is Martin, not Harper, who has put forward a fiscally conservative platform.
